Companies That Give Back

Today,  I want to give an unsolicited plug to Lowe's Home Improvement Stores.  There logo says, "Never Stop Improving".  I would like to say that they "Never Stop Giving".  I have begun a makeover project (I will give you details and an update in a later posting) and without hesitation, Lowe's jumped right in to assist with the project.  I spoke to some of the employees and many of them shared their personal stories of how the company had given supplies back to schools where their children attended.

Yes, I know many companies do give back.  Unfortunately, they go unrecognized because they are large corporations. Well today, I want to say thanks (oh, and an fyi, Lowe's was my second employer in high school. I worked in there back payroll office).

I have begun a few summer home improvement projects on top of the many items I am trying to balance on my plate.  My first stop for all of my supplies will be my neighborhood Lowe's Store.

Until Next Time
XOXO

2013 Home Project Goals

Have you started setting goals for 2013? We are through the first week of the year. We set goals for our mind, body and spirit. We even post resolutions on our bathroom mirrors for weight goals we want to set for the year (not a bad idea for myself). Why not write down home projects you want to complete for 2013.

This task doesn't have to be a daunting one. Create an outline or a goals list. Topics you might want to include on your home improvement list are as follows:
  •  Which room you would like to focus on?
  •  How do you want your space to feel?
  • Which areas do you want to organize?
  • Which home project will you complete this year?
I, for one have decided that my bedroom is way over due for a face lift...more like a modern day lift. It's still pretty because everything was custom made for the room.  It's just looking a little stale for me.  I am ready for a change!

To stimulate your mind, get inspired with pictures. One of the best places on earth now for inspiration is

Yes, Pinterest is an inspirational haven. I was reluctant to get on Pinterest (another password to memorize). Now I love it!  I just need to figure out when I will have time to get on it.

Good luck to you on your home project! Send me your comments and let me know what you plan on doing differently in your home in 2013.

Until Next Time
XOXO
