HOT TREND IN DESIGN...MARBLEIZE by Posh Interiors, LLC-Atlanta Interior Design

The marbleize trend is everywhere this fall.  If you flip through any home or fashion magazine, you will see it.  Let's define this for my blog readers.  Marbleize is to give a marble like variegated finish to an object or material.  When it comes to fabrics, silks and other natural fibers are best for creating this finish.

As a designer, I would use this pattern sparingly in my decor.  The look is beautiful and should be allowed to make a statement and not compete with too many other patterns.  Too much of this look can definitely cause a dizzy spell.

Let's take a look at this old trend that is resurfacing back on the block!

Red Is Smokin Hot This Fall In Home Decor! by Posh Interiors, LLC Atlanta Interior Design

I receive quite a few home decor magazines as you could imagine.  What I am noticing this season in home decor is the color red. It is back with avengement!  One of my favorite colors to wear is pink, but I love decorating in red.  I have touches of red throughout my home.

Now is the time to change out your accessories and add a bit of red.  This color will take you up to spring. Check out this smoking red sofa from Crate and Barrel.  I love how this sofa looks.  You could even paint the room in a soft gray that would add major sizzle.  Your friends would be envious when they visit you this holiday season.

BIG STYLE...Small Space by Posh Interiors, LLC- Atlanta Interior Design

Atlanta is a haven for hot trendy condo's. Many city dwellers sacrifice space for the advantage of living in-town.  Just because your space is small, doesn't mean you must sacrifice style.  Here are a few tricks for getting BIG STYLE in a small space.

Add Draperies.  As a designer, I believe every window should be dressed.  Adding draperies to a window in a small condo can make the window double in size.  One trick to creating the illusional larger window is raising the draperies a few inches above the molding on the window.  You can also add an additional width of fabric on the sides of the draperies to create a wider looking window.  Check out my website at www.poshinteriorsllc.com and peruse my photo gallery for window designs.

Mirrors Are A Must.  Mirrors immediately add space to a room.  The mirrors reflect light; can serve as a window and even create a focal point in a room.  Decorative mirrors can also act as a piece of art.

Perfect Paint Palette.  Adding neutral paint on a wall is an old trick to making a small space appear larger.  In order to punch up the color in the room, throw in great colorful accessories from throw pillows to vases.  Here are a few of my favorite accessories found on www.pinkdoordecor.com

I would love to get your feed back on all of my blog topics.  Tell me what you think.
