Clearing the Clutter Before Design by Posh Interiors, LLC

As a designer, I would love to go inside of a home and redo the entire space. Sometimes, however, a space doesn't need an entire new makeover.  Adding a few pieces and rearranging what is there, makes a world of a difference.
Before you know what is needed in a space, I highly recommend clearing out the clutter.  When I was setting up my office, I hired a clutterologist to tackle a closet that I stock piled for years with junk.  I ignored the closet, but knew I needed it for storage.

Here's a before and after shot of an office cleared by Atlanta Clutterologist Lauriann Stepp. No, this is not my office, but it is a great look at what lies underneath the clutter. Before you call your designer, clear your space and even consider hiring a clutterologist!

Freedom To Be...by Posh Interiors, LLC

We live in a great country despite those who complain.  We have the freedom to be who we want to be. Many have come before us and fought for our freedoms, such as Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.  I, for one, will rise bright and early tomorrow to volunteer in honor of his birthday. Then back to work I go, which is a wonderful thing.  I am so greatful I have work to go to.  So many individuals in our country are out of work.

I honor of freedom and design, I am happy to share with you a piece befitting of the topic...Freedom!
Made of hand forged metal, this wall art is finished in aged red, white
and blue with black tipping by Grace Feyock
I fell in love with this metal piece and thought it would look great in a vintage loft industrial space.
Design your space as free as you would like it to be.

Entrepreneurship At Its Best by Posh Interiors, LLC

I truly believe in entrepreneurship.  Entrepreneurs are the backbone of our economy.  Many novel ideas have been developed from the garages of some of America's great business owners, i.e., Steve Jobs.

I also don't believe we are one dimensional creatures.  People can be great at more than one thing. I call this Multi-Entrepreneurship. We see this in Hollywood with people like Oprah Winfrey and Jamie Foxx, but in mainstream America, we keep our multiple talents hidden.  I consider myself a multi-entrepreneur.  I have been blessed with many talents and I plan on using them before I leave this earth.

One of the best things about being an entrepreneur is giving back.  My business partner from
Pink Door Decor and I are very excited about a new campaign "Operation Valentine" we are running with our candles from our online boutique.  Part of the proceeds from the candles will go to Atlanta's Mercy Foundation.  Teri and I both worked in the pharmaceutical industry prior to branching out in our many business ventures.  We have seen the great works of this organization first hand and felt it was one we both could passionately support.

If you would like to support "Operation Valentine" by purchasing a candle, go to www.pinkdoordecor.com

VAGABOND CHIC by Posh Interiors, LLC

Patriot Ottoman

Vintage Chic was all the rage in 2011 and is showing no signs of going away in 2012.  Why are people so taken by this look?  The look is like a vagabond.  The pieces can be moved from room to room and still create a homey space. Vintage is all about comfort and creating an environment that is unpretentious.

If you are a bargain hunter and don't mind perusing through several pages of furniture (more than 22,000 items under the furniture section), Etsy.com is a great place to search for vintage pieces.  If you want new pieces that gives you the look of vintage, here are a few of my favorite finds from PinkDoorDecor.com.

What is your favorite decor look? Vintage Chic? Classic? Traditional? Modern?
I would love to hear from you!
