Companies That Give Back

Today,  I want to give an unsolicited plug to Lowe's Home Improvement Stores.  There logo says, "Never Stop Improving".  I would like to say that they "Never Stop Giving".  I have begun a makeover project (I will give you details and an update in a later posting) and without hesitation, Lowe's jumped right in to assist with the project.  I spoke to some of the employees and many of them shared their personal stories of how the company had given supplies back to schools where their children attended.

Yes, I know many companies do give back.  Unfortunately, they go unrecognized because they are large corporations. Well today, I want to say thanks (oh, and an fyi, Lowe's was my second employer in high school. I worked in there back payroll office).

I have begun a few summer home improvement projects on top of the many items I am trying to balance on my plate.  My first stop for all of my supplies will be my neighborhood Lowe's Store.

Until Next Time
XOXO

Go-To Red the Fabulous Queen "C"

Every year designers get excited about the new Pantone Color of the Year announcement.  If colors were humans, they would all race to the front of the Crayola box shouting, "Pick Me, Pick Me".  Last year Tangerine Tango was all the rave.  For a long time brown was the new black and everyone wanted to trim out their home in chocolate brown.

When I think of all the colors that have fought their way to being the new "it" color, none have quite reign like the Queen "C" Red.  Oh, I love that red and so does styles of all kind.  Red is the queen of all colors.  She creates sizzle and vibrance wherever she lands, from furniture to clothing and even our ruby red lips.  She's the go to girl and throwback color when you need a little pop.

Here's a look at one of my favorite colors as she graces styles of all forms.

Kerry Washington

Most would agree that not many can wear red lip stick like the beautiful Kerry Washington.  No matter what she is wearing, we would all be drawn to her face and the pop of color on her lips.  It's because of her red lipstick, she can minimize her accessories. Imagine the chaotic energy that would be created if she were wearing busy earrings.

Crimson Chair from Pink Door Decor

This gorgeous chair would really create pop to a drab room.  It's not too bright in color that you would grow old of it after a few years.   Imagine this in a set of four surrounding a cocktail table!

Beautiful Red Hair Accessories for Wedding

Women are now going outside of the traditional pastel wedding colors. Spring reds are becoming popular wedding colors.

Although I love pink, red is my go-to color when I'm trying to create a little sizzle.
 What's yours?

Until Next Time
